Taxes & Charges:

Our shipping cost will include transit and brokerage fees only unless specifically expressed in your shopping cart.  If you do not pay your estimated duty and tax during checkout (available to select countries only), you may be billed by your local customs for import duty and tax.

 

 

Declaration of Value:

All goods are listed as either "Merchandise" or "Other" depending on the shipping method and carrier and will be declared at the equivalent USD (United States Dollar) value as seen in the subtotal in your cart.  We do not include shipping costs in the total of your declared value.  Any coupons, rewards, or other discounts are removed from the value of your order to reflect the actual price of the items, which helps lower the Declared Value.  Due to International Law, we cannot adjust or change the value of your order.

 

 

Description of Merchandise:

For international packages, the customs form will be affixed to the outside of your box.  This will list each item name and the total quantity of that item in the package. Due to International Law, we cannot adjust or change the description of your order.  We constantly research and communicate with customs agencies and shipping carriers worldwide to ensure you package has the highest chance of arriving safely and quickly.

 

 

Delays, Loss & Customs Hold:

We have spent a great deal of time selecting the best option possible to ensure great value for our customers and the best chance of delivery to international destinations. Because each country has different restrictions and procedures for products and packages, we encourage you to contact your local customs office for restrictions on specific items.

The shipping methods we offer carry a 98%+ delivery rate based on customer and industry feedback. While this is great news for our international customers, we will not offer refunds for packages lost or held in transit or customs.

For packages returned to us due to customs, refusal, or non-delivery issues, we will refund the full cost of the undamaged items minus any shipping costs we incur for return shipping.  In the case return shipping costs are greater than the order value, we will abandon the package and are unable to offer any refund.

I placed an international order and cannot track my package, why?

Some shipping methods such as International Airmail cannot be tracked as individual packages since they are not ever scanned.  This method uses the same shipping as a letter or piece of mail would - we do this because there is a very high success rate without dealing with delays and taxes from customs.  We may provide you with a # that is used as a reference for your local post office, but again this # cannot be tracked.  We ship out large bundles of orders directly into many countries which makes our international shipping charges lower than many online retailers.  Should you need tracking information, you may use a premium shipping option if it is offered for your country.  Use the shipping calculator in your shopping cart to view your full range of options.

 

 

Do you ship to all countries?

We currently ship to over 175 countries, all of which you can select in the shipping calculator or at the shipping step during checkout to see costs and methods for your locaiton.  However, there are countries we cannot currently ship to for various reasons.  Those countries include, but are not limited to:  Cuba, Egypt, Ghana, Iran, Iraq, Libya, Malaysia, Nigeria, North Korea, Pakistan, Turkey, Vietnam.

 

 

When will my international order ship?

While we utilize a wide network of distribution centers and warehouses in the USA to maintain our offering, we must first consolidate all international orders to one location before shipping.  This may add several days processing time to your order depending on the item availability and location within our network.  We follow this procedure to ensure we can:

1. Offer a low cost shipping method for our international customers
2. Send all packages through the fastest shipping channels beginning in Chicago, Illinois, USA (the largest international USA shipping hub)
3. Avoid customs delays and fines by shipping in one package

 

 

What if I do not receive my package or it takes too long, can I just file with my credit card or PayPal, for a refund?

Our official policy, as noted above, is that we are unable to offer refunds for international packages due to delay, loss, or customs hold.  To protect our customers who value our ability to get products into countries around the world, any attempt to file a claim with your bank or credit card will put your account into a "Suspended" status.  While we work to provide proof of shipment for your bank or credit card to, you will no longer be allowed to order from our site or any of our subsidiaries.  While this may seem harsh, we must do this to ensure our company continues to serve our long time customers who agree to our international shipping policies and understand the risks and benefits associated with this service.

To have your account reinstated, you will need to contact us directly and request an account review.  Any charges still outstanding will need to be paid for in addition to this review process.

 

 

What does the International Airmail process look like?

Many customers want to know the specifics of how our International Airmail works.  Since there is no tracking information for International Airmail, the following process happens without visibility.  The below information details International Airmail step by step:

1. You place your order online and we consolidate all items into the Elkhart, Indiana center to be shipped out.
2. The packages are picked up by our workshare partners who transports the items to Chicago, Illinois.
3. Packages are sorted at the partner facilities and begin shipping to the destination countries.
4. Packages arrive at customs in your country and go through inspection.  This step can cause significant delay based on how quickly your customs is currently operating.
5. Packages are passed in to the local postal system and begin making delivery to your address.

 

 

What if my package arrives and some or all of the items are damaged?

If your order contains damaged or is missing items, please email claims@healthdesigns.com immediately.  We will need proof of the damage which can be given with a photo of: the items in the order, the invoice, and the packaging you received this in.  For damaged products, we may issue a store credit for you.  For missing products, we will review your order and determine if the issue was our fault or the item was confiscated by customs.  Our company is not responsible for items that are confiscated during transit and cannot issue credit for this.  Because we take extra care in packaging, there are very few orders with damaged items.  Currently, less than 1% of all orders have any issues.

 

What will the customs label look like and can you mark my package as a gift or adjust the value please?

HealthDesigns currently declares the subtotal value of your order.  Thjat is, the value of the products only.  We do not include the shipping cost in your declared value.  All goods are listed as "Other" or "Merchandise" based on the shipping carrier.  We cannot change or alter your declared value for any reason due to international customs laws we abide by.

 

 

What if my package is returned to healthdesigns by me or the shipping carrier for any reason, how will I know when it is received and will I be refunded?

If your package is returned to us for any reason, we will follow several returns processes based on when the order was shipped.

0 - 30 Days:  For orders returned to us within 30 days of when the order was shipped, we can issue a refund to your payment method used for the full price of the products.  Shipping costs are not refunded.  There is no restocking fee.  We may have to pay extra shipping costs when the order is returned, these are deducted from your credit.  You will receive an email automatically when this happens.

30 - 60 Days:  For orders returned between 30 - 60 days of when the order was shipped, we can issue a store credit to your online account for the price of the products minus a 20% restocking fee.  Shipping costs are not refunded.  We may have to pay extra shipping costs when the order is returned, these are deducted from your credit.  You will receive an email automatically when this happens.

60 + Days:  For orders returned to us after 60 days of when the order was shipped, we cannot issue a refund or store credit to your account.  Because freshness and product integrity is important, products returned after 60 days will be discarded and you will not receive an email stating the order was received as it will not go through our normal returns process.

 

 

I have not received my package yet and ordered online, what can I do?

When we ship an order internationally, we are at the mercy of your countries postal system and customs as to how quickly it is delivered to you.  When we received your order, we began working quickly to get it shipped out right away.  Once it arrives in your country, it can clear the customs process quickly or may take as many as 6-8 weeks depending on how fast your customs office is.  This part of the shipping process is out of both our hands and yours.  We would appreciate your patience in letting this package have ample time to be delivered.  Because each country has different restrictions and procedures for products and packages, we also encourage you to contact your local customs office for restrictions on specific items which could be causing the delay on your order.  If your package is refused by your customs and comes back to our company, we will refund you the full amount less any shipping costs we incur.  If you have HD Care on your package, please see the section on submitting a claim with this system.

 

 

What will the box look like?

Your product will be shipped in nondescript, blank cardboard boxes.  It will not have our logo on the outside or any indication of what the items are inside the package.  We aim to make the boxes as plain as possible to avoid customs opening the package up and assessing tax or duty.
