Tylophora asthmatica is an Ayurvedic botanical traditionally used to support pulmonary function. Known as “Indian ipecac,” Tylophora has an irritant effect on the gastrointestinal tract at high doses; at lower doses, however, it possesses spasmolytic and smooth muscle relaxant properties.
