| Description |
For those patients who may need the combination of ingredients found in Betaine HCl & Pepsin and Dipan-9, we offer Bio-Gest. Bio-Gest contains ox bile, which is important for those who have problems with fat emulsification and absorption – such as a patient whose gall bladder has been removed.
Because of their physiological role in the absorption of dietary lipids, bile salts are widely used for replacement therapy, in pathological conditions in which the concentration of bile acids in upper intestines is low, such as:
- biliary fistula
- disease of the ileum
- hepatic or extra-hepatic cholestasis
- to help lower cholesterol & triglycerides
- a general aid in fat metabolism
- gall bladder removal
