Women’s Nutrients is designed for women over 40. It is a complete hypo-allergenic, nutrient rich, highly bioavailable multi-vitamin, multi-mineral and trace element supplement. The formula combines superior mineral cofactors, activated vitamins and antioxidants to support optimal health. Cranberry juice extract is derived from Vaccinium macrocarpon. HMRlignan™ contains 7-hydroxymatairesinol derived from Norway Spruce. Green tea extract is derived from Camellia sinensis and standardized to contain 65% total tea catechins and 23% epigallocatechin gallate (EGCG). Turmeric extract is derived from Curcuma longa root and standardized to contain 95% curcuminoids. Calcium d-glucarate is derived from cornstarch and glucose (United States Patent Nos. 4,845,123; 5,364,644; 5,561,160. European Patent No. 0,528,950). Red wine concentrate is derived from Vitis vinifera whole grape and standardized to contain 25% polyphenols. Grape seed extract is derived from Vitis vinifera seed and standardized to contain 92% polyphenols. Pomegranate extract is derived from Punica granatum L. whole fruit and standardized to contain 40% punicosides. Rhodiola rosea extract is derived from the root and standardized to contain 3% total rosavins and min. 1% salidroside. Lemon balm extract is derived from Melissa officinalis leaf and standardized to contain 5% rosemarinic acid.
Recommendations Pure Encapsulations recommends per 4-6 capsules per day, in divided doses, with meals.
Are There Any Potential Side Effects Or Precautions? If pregnant or lactating, consult your physician before taking this product. Turmeric, green tea and lemon balm have been associated with dizziness, headache, and gastrointestinal upset, including nausea, vomiting, bloating, dyspepsia, constipation or diarrhea. Turmeric is not recommended for individuals with bile duct obstruction. Consult your physician for more information.
Are There Any Potential Drug Interactions? Grape seed extract, cranberry, curcumin and green tea may be contra-indicated with blood thinning medications. Some studies have reported that calcium d-glucarate and curcumin could affect that the liver breaks down medications, theoretically altering the effects of these medications and possibly the dose needed for treatment.
