| Description | What Is It? Lymph is a fluid composed of plasma, white blood cells and tissue waste products. It is collected from the tissues of the body, circulates through lymph vessels and is filtered by lymph nodes before joining venous blood circulation. The Lymphatic Cleanse formula is designed to help encourage healthy lymphatic system circulation and drainage, fluid balance, and detoxification.* Uses For Lymphatic Cleanse Lymphathic Function: Healthy lymphatic system flow maintains healthy immune function, fluid balance, drainage and detoxification. Burdock root offers purifying and cleansing properties. Echinacea and licorice encourage healthy macrophage and lymphocyte activity, supporting healthy lymphatic and immune system function. Macrophages are believed to help break down proteins that can build up in lymphatic fluid. Astragalus, ginseng and ginger support the tissues and organs of the lymphatic system, including the spleen, thymus and lymph nodes while vitamin C, mixed carotenoids and zinc serve as cofactors for immune function and antioxidant protection.* What Is The Source? Vitamin C is derived from corn dextrose fermentation. Zinc is derived from limestone. Beta carotene is derived from Blakeslea trispora. Lycopene is derived from tomato. Lutein is derived from marigold flower extract. Zeaxanthin is synthetic. Burdock extract (4:1) is derived from Arctium lappa L. and standardized to contain 0.3% chlorogenic acid. Echinacea angustifolia extract is derived from the root and standardized to contain 4% echinacosides. Ginger extract is derived from Zingiber officinale root and standardized to contain 5% gingerols. Astragalus membranaceus extract (8:1) is derived from the root. Eleutherococcus senticosus extract is derived from the root and standardized to contain 0.8% eleutheroside E&B. Licorice root extract is standardized to contain 12% glycyrrhizic acid. Ascorbyl palmitate is derived from corn dextrose fermentation and palm oil. Recommendations Pure Encapsulations recommends 2-4 capsules per day, in divided doses, with or between meals. Are There Any Potential Side Effects Or Precautions? Not to be taken by pregnant or lactating women. Echinacea or ginger can cause GI upset, abdominal pain, heartburn, diarrhea or vomiting. Echinacea has also been associated with dry mouth, sore throat, mouth ulcers, headache, dizziness or insomnia in sensitive individuals. Eleuthero has been associated with palpitations, tachycardia or hypertension in individuals with cardiovascular disorders. Licorice may be contra-indicated for individuals with hypertension, but typically not in the amounts provided by this formula. Echinacea and burdock are not recommended for individuals with sensitivity to botanicals from the Asteraceae/Compositae family. Consult your physician for more information. Are There Any Potential Drug Interactions? Echinacea and astragalus are contra-indicated with immunosuppressant medications. Ginger, burdock, eleuthero and licorice are contra-indicated with blood thinning medications. Licorice is contra-indicated with corticosteroids, anti-hypertensive medications and diuretics. Echinacea, eleuthero and licorice may alter the metabolism of medications metabolized through the CYP3A4 or CYP2C9 pathways. Consult your physician for more information. |
