NOW Bromelain 2000 GDU/g is one of the highest natural potencies of this proteolytic (protein digesting) enzyme available. While most enzymes are generally considered to be poorly absorbed, Bromelain is one of the most bioavailable of all enzymes and has been the subject of numerous studies worldwide.

Although Bromelain is derived from pineapples, supplementation is necessary to achieve optimum levels of this enzyme.

I use this in conjunction with turmeric to reduce joint inflammation, pain, and stiffness. Its works best on an empty stomach because if there is food in your gut, the bromelain will simply be utilized for protein breakdown in the food instead of treating inflammation. I use it before bed and whenever else possible to aid in inflammation reduction and tissue recovery. Also reduces skin inflammation and speeds healing relatively well if you get pimples and such. Try to be consistent for best results.
