Herbplus

Herbplus, provided by Douglas Laboratories, supplies a synergistic blend of herbs and other nutrients, specially formulated for natural bowel support.

FUNCTIONS
Senna has been used in both eastern and western cultures for centuries as a laxative aid. The active constituent consists of sennosides, which have been studied for their effect on stimulating a laxative effect. Both leaves and pods are used to produce the desired effect. Cascara Sagrada is small deciduous tree native to the west coast of North America. The bark is used for laxative support; chemicals known as anthraglycosides that are found in the bark are one of the active principles of the plant. Nutrients such as prunes, figs and aloe also have been used  traditionally as natural bowel stimulants.
