Flavor: Pineapple Strawberry
Product description/claims: CTD Labs Noxivol Powder is a potent, stimulant-free pre-workout that is clinically formulated to deliver superior pumps and is designed to promote lean muscle growth, strength and endurance while improving joint, ligament, muscle and cartilage recovery.
Suggested use: 1 scoop 2x’s day...or 2 scoops preWO.
The Good: Mixes/dissolves well, taste is ok, slight chemical aftertaste. Beta Alanine, nearly as researched as creatine and a proven ergogenic, which increases endurance thru an increase in carnosine (~ 3g/day with a 3 week saturation point); Cissus Quadrangularis another proven ingredient which leads to bone, ligament & joint health.
The not so good: Prop blend, not a fan. AAKG was ultra popular in preWO’s many years back, for its intended purpose here, this formula would be better served to be updated with Agmatine (aka decarboxylated arginine, shown to inhibit Nitric oxcide breakdown), which is a far superior choice with many more benefits (increased pumps, antioxidant, improved insulin response, nootropic effect, stimulation of LH & GH levels & more) over AAKG. Vanadyl sulphate, popular in the mid to late 90’s as a glucose disposal agent (which helps shuttle glucose & aminos into muscle cells), not found a whole lot in supps any more (has potential toxicity build up issues, though I imagine Noxivol doesn’t contain a toxic amount), would rather see Na-RLA (sodium R-lipoic acid) being used. Alpha GPC cognitive/focus enhancer, average dose around 250mg, at a double scoop, I’m not sure this would even reach 100mg.
Bottom line: Tossed in with a stimmed pre, slightly improved pump with some improved focus, but overall I feel a sub par (and potentially underdosed) formula and would not recommend without some formula updates being made. A Non stim, pump option I would recommend would be Purus labs Noxygen, Athletix High Volume, iForce Hemavol or bulk Agmatine or Citrulline.
