A Healthy Heart and Circulatory System

are Vital to Achieving Vibrant Health

Unfortunately, everyday lifestyle and dietary habits may pose a significant threat to your cardiovascular health. We can guide you through an individualized program that incorporates nutritional support and lifestyle recommendations to help you achieve optimal cardiovascular, and overall, health.

Stress/Lifestyle Guidance

The relentless pressures and constant stress of today's fast-paced lifestyle may increase the demand for essential nutrients your heart requires. In addition, prolonged stress can affect blood pressure and the integrity of your arteries. A poor diet, lack of exercise, or other unhealthy habits such as smoking, further impact cardiovascular health.

We, as health care professionals, recommend you to:

  • Effectively reduce stress.

  • Regularly engage in aerobic exercise.

  • Reduce dietary saturated fats, cholesterol, fried foods, sugar, and animal proteins.

  • Reduce alcohol and coffee.

  • Increase intake of important nutrients such as targeted B vitamins, magnesium, and select herbs.

Fundamental Heart and Circulatory Support

Many nutrients provide fundamental support for a healthy heart and circulation by helping to maintain healthy blood pressure, cholesterol, triglyceride, homocysteine, and lipoprotein(a) levels.

Your health care professional will determine which of the following nutrients are right for you:

  • Vitamin E, CoQ10, magnesium or other select nutrients to support healthy heart function.

  • Folic acid, vitamins B6 and B12, niacin, garlic, essential fatty acids, and specific herbs such as hawthorn, horse chestnut, and ginkgo to support healthy circulation.

Clinical Markers

A variety of tests that evaluate clinical markers of cardiovascular health risk may provide your health care professional with additional insight in determining the best approach for you. They may recommend any of the following nutrients:

  • Non-flush niacin, garlic, essential fatty acids, and select herbs such as guggul to support healthy cholesterol and triglyceride levels.

  • Folic acid, vitamins B6 and B12, trimethylglycine, choline, and zinc to support healthy homocysteine levels.

  • Non-flush niacin and CoQ10 for healthy lipoprotein(a) levels.
